Throughout the pandemic, we have seen countless attempts to steal electronic information. This past year alone, OIT identified 395 phishing attempts that came through our email system to a combined 83,721 recipients. Fortunately, there are steps you can take to protect yourself. OIT has created a useful webpage that provides cybersecurity tips and highlights best practices. UA also provides several software tools, such as LastPass and McAfee, that faculty and staff can use on their personal machines to keep them safe. Cyber bad guys are always searching for weak points, so it is critical that everyone does their part to keep themselves and their devices safe.
