As of May 2021, UA student email will be moved from Google to Microsoft. This will allow UA to enhance email security (block phishing emails, etc.), provide a comprehensive directory, and enable faculty and students to collaborate via Teams. Existing students will continue to have access to G Suite after the migration; new students will be added directly to the Microsoft accounts. Since a lot of businesses use Microsoft products, UA believes that moving students to Microsoft will help familiarize them with the products before they start using them in their employment post-graduation.
