eTech provides photography services to A&S departments upon request, depending on the availability of personnel and resources.
We take the following types of photos:
- Individual portraits for department websites and other A&S-related uses (faculty, staff, and graduate students only)
- Group photos for department websites and other A&S-related uses
- Event photos for departments and other units of the College of Arts and Sciences
- Lab, class, and activity photos for use on department websites
If your photo request doesn’t fit these categories or falls outside the available times, or if you have any questions at all about the process, email us at email@example.com.
We do not have the resources to take photos for non-A&S units or personnel.
How to Request Photo Services
We use Microsoft Bookings to schedule most of our photo sessions. Visit our Bookings page to schedule an appointment.
What to Expect
Bookings will send you a confirmation of the appointment (if you’ve entered your correct email address). We don’t otherwise contact individuals to confirm portrait appointments. If you’ve requested group or event photos, we may email you to ensure our photographers understand the assignment.
We will email you if for some reason we need to reschedule your appointment.
If you have any questions, need to provide additional information about your request, or would like to know the status of your request, email us at firstname.lastname@example.org. Your edited photos will be delivered to you via Box.
What to Know
The default location for all individual portrait sessions is Woods Quad, right behind Clark Hall. You can specify a different location if you wish; if this occurs to you after you’ve submitted the form, email us at email@example.com. If your department is in ten Hoor Hall, we can arrange to take your photo across the street at Marr’s Spring.
Make your request as early as possible; the minimum required notice is 72 hours, but at least two weeks’ notice is ideal. We cannot honor same-day requests.
Be aware that during certain times of the year, our photographers may be less available than usual, or completely unavailable. These times include the last few class days before a vacation or the end of a semester; exam week; summer; and the first week of the fall and spring semesters. In general, we don’t accept photo assignments during these times. If your need is urgent or your assignment can’t be handled another time, please email us and we’ll try to help.
Please respond promptly to all emails from eTech staff regarding your request or reservation. Failure to do so could result in the cancellation of your reservation.
If UA administration decides to close campus due to inclement weather or some other circumstance, all reservations will be canceled without notice as of the officially announced closing time.
Depending on workload, our photographers may need two weeks or more to edit photos. We make every attempt to edit photos according to urgency of need, so if you must have your photo by a specific date, please email us at firstname.lastname@example.org. We will do everything possible to get your photo to you by that date.
While we strive to meet the photo needs of all A&S faculty and staff, we reserve the right to refuse any request that falls outside our mandate from the A&S dean or that places excessive demand on our staff or student workers.
