eTech provides photography services to A&S departments upon request, depending on availability of personnel and resources. We take photos of events sponsored by units of the College of Arts and Sciences, and of departmental personnel and activities for use on websites we build. We also photograph faculty and staff members who need photos for professional purposes.
We do not have the resources to take photos for non-A&S units or personnel.
How to Request Photo Services
We use Office 365’s scheduling app, Bookings, to book most of our photo sessions. To schedule any of our services, visit eTech’s Bookings page.
We take the following types of photos:
- New individual portraits for department websites or other A&S-related uses
- Group photos for department websites or other A&S-related uses
- Event photos

What to Expect
Bookings will send you a confirmation of the appointment (if you’ve entered your correct email address!). We don’t otherwise contact individuals to confirm portrait appointments. We will email you if for some reason we need to reschedule your appointment.
We often email folks who request group or event photos to make sure our photographers understand the assignment before they arrive.

What to Know about eTech’s Photo Services
The default location for all individual portrait sessions is Woods Quad, right behind Clark Hall. You can specify a different location if you wish; if this occurs to you after you’ve submitted the form, email Lisa Yessick, director of digital content, at email@example.com.
Make your request as early as possible; the minimum required notice is 72 hours, but at least two weeks’ notice is ideal. We cannot honor same-day requests. Availability of photo services depends on the schedules of our photographers, who are students, which means they work limited hours and must prioritize classes above all else.
Be aware that during certain times of the year, our photographers may be less available than usual. These times include the last few class days before a vacation or the end of a semester; exam week; summer; and the first week of the fall and spring semesters.
Please respond promptly to all email from eTech staff regarding your request or reservation. Failure to do so could result in cancellation of your reservation.
If UA administration decides to close campus due to inclement weather or some other circumstance, all reservations will be canceled without notice as of the officially announced closing time.
Depending on workload, our photographers may need two weeks or more to edit photos. We make every attempt to edit photos according to urgency of need, so if you must have your photo by a specific date, please send Lisa Yessick an email (firstname.lastname@example.org). We will do everything possible to get your photo to you by that date.
While we strive to meet the photo needs of all A&S faculty and staff, we reserve the right to refuse any request that falls outside our mandate from the A&S dean or that places excessive demand on our staff or student workers.
