Student Job Opportunities

Each semester, eTech employs 50 to 75 UA students in a variety of roles: lab monitor, iPad support assistant, photographer, office assistant, web development assistant, and more. This page lists some of the positions we currently have open.

Requirements

You must have a GPA of at least 2.25 to be eligible for eTech employment.

You must also be enrolled in at least 6 credit hours of courses during the fall and spring semesters.

As with any UA student job, you’ll need to pass a background check and provide original identity documents like your birth certificate, passport, Social Security card, and driver’s license.

For most positions, you’ll need to complete an online application and provide a resume listing your relevant qualifications. A cover letter or portfolio may be required for some of our jobs.

Open Positions

A&S Computer Lab Monitor

The Computer Lab Monitor is responsible for opening and closing computer labs, helping students by answering questions, troubleshooting computers and printers, and ensuring the computer labs stay presentable. For more information, visit the UA Jobs site.

Equipment Inventory Student Assistant

The Equipment Inventory Student Assistant performs annual equipment inventory of all technology equipment used by the faculty and staff of the College and Arts and Sciences and updates the inventory system. For more information, visit the UA Jobs site.

Logistics Student Assistant

The Logistics Student Assistant is responsible for the pick-up and delivery of technology equipment for the College of Arts and Sciences. Applicants must be at least 21 years of age or will turn 21 years old by May 1, 2022, and have a good driving record. For more information, visit the UA Jobs site.

Systems Student Assistant

The Systems Student Assistant is responsible for supporting the computer labs for the College of Arts and Sciences. Responsibilities include software installation, configuration, and maintenance. Additional duties may include minor diagnosing and repair of computer hardware issues as well as assisting with mobile devices such as iPads and laptops.
